HC Deb 03 February 1947 vol 432 cc283-4W
71. Mr. J. Morrison

asked the Minister of Agriculture what steps he intends taking to ensure that electricity cuts do not render infertile eggs hatching in electric incubators.

Mr. T. Williams

I am informed by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Fuel and Power that electricity undertakings have been asked to have particular regard to consumers using electricity for continuous processes such as incubation of eggs. Owners or managers of hatcheries dependent on electricity are advised to approach their electricity supply undertakings with a view to making mutually satisfactory arrangements.
