HC Deb 11 December 1947 vol 445 cc221-2W
Mr. Linstead

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that on Sunday, 30th November, a little girl was brought to a London County Council hospital, the name of which has been supplied to him, was sent away without examination by any doctor on the ground that she was not a casualty, and was then taken to Putney Hospital by bus where she was operated on at once for acute appendicitis; and whether he will ascertain the reasons for the action taken by the first hospital and satisfy himself that steps will be taken to prevent a repetition of a similar case.

Mr. Bevan

I am making inquiries and will communicate with the hon. Member.
