§ Sir P. Macdonaldasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the considerable volume of unoccupied properties in the Isle of Wight belonging to Government Departments and not at present in use; and whether he will take urgent steps to enable the local authorities concerned to use as much as possible of this accommodation at least on a temporary basis before the commencement of the winter.
§ Mr. BevanI have received from the local authorities a list of 14 properties. I am consulting my right hon. Friends the Service Ministers and the Minister of Works as to whether any of these properties can be released for use where suitable for housing purposes.
