HC Deb 04 December 1947 vol 445 c93W
>Mr. A. R. W. Low

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many glass bottles have been imported from Belgium in the current year, and at what price; and what is the average price at which bottles manufactured in the United Kingdom are sold here.

Mr. Belcher

In the first ten months of 1947 there were imported from Belgium 735,000 beer, wine, spirit and similar bottles at an average value of 4.5 pence each, and 10,073,000 other bottles, jars and tubular containers at 2.9 pence each. The information asked for in the last part of the question is not available.
