HC Deb 21 April 1947 vol 436 c59W
68. Mr. W. J. Brown

asked the Minister of Works if he is aware that the accommodation at Reading Prison, which is needed for the prison staff who have been separated from their families for several months, is still occupied by the Central Office of Information; and whether he will ensure that this accommodation is released forthwith, in view of the fact that alternative accommodation has been offered to the Central Office of Information staff concerned.

Mr. Key

The alternative accommodation which has been found for the staff of the Central Office of Information has only just been vacated by the War Department. The staff will be moved as soon as the premises have been made ready. It is hoped to complete this work in a month or two.
