HC Deb 30 October 1946 vol 428 cc116-7W
Mr. Price-White

asked the Minister of Transport if he has now made a decision as to the retention or otherwise at Caernarvon of the sub-office of the regional transport commissioner at Manchester; and whether he will bear in mind the necessity for having an office staffed by Welsh-speaking officials in the Caernarvonshire area to deal with applications from what is essentially a Welsh community that could not with efficiency be dealt with at Manchester only.

Mr. Barnes

I propose to maintain an office at Caernarvon as a sub-office of the Traffic Commissioners at Manchester. This office is staffed to deal with Welsh speaking applicants and inquiries.
