asked the Minister of Transport if he will abolish the payment of the fee for a driving test by disabled ex-Servicemen who held a driving licence prior to their disablement.

Bearing in mind that the fee for a driving test is small, and that the purpose of the test is to show whether a disabled person can drive safely, I do not think that an amendment of the Road Traffic Act on the lines suggested by the hon. Member would be justified
