asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will take steps to restore municipal government in Sierra Leone.

I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the municipal government of Freetown. The matter has received my active attention but I am not at present able to add anything to the answer which my predecessor gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Central Hackney (Mr. H. Hynd) on 3rd July. I will send my hon. Friend a copy of that reply.
