HC Deb 24 October 1946 vol 428 cc6-7W
60. Mr. R. Adams

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to remove the anomaly whereby aged Dominion subjects resident in this country fail to qualify for the old age pension.

Mr. Glenvil Hall

I assume that my hon. Friend refers to the minimum period of residence in the United Kingdom required in order to qualify for a non-contributory old age pension. This requirement seems to me to be quite reasonable.
