Mr. Creech JonesJudicial appointments in Kenya are made in accordance with the usual principles governing Colonial Service appointments, namely, by the selection of the candidates who appear most suitably qualified for the posts. Appointments to judgeships in all Colonies are normally made by promotion within the Colonial Legal Service and Indian members of that service are equally eligible for consideration with others for such promotion.
