asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he can increase the allowance of petrol to small businesses so that they can employ their men returning from the Forces.

Mr. Shinwell:

Within the limits permitted by available supplies, regional petroleum officers are authorised to grant supplementary petrol allowances to small businesses so that men returning from the Forces can use their cars for the purposes of the business.
