HC Deb 13 May 1946 vol 422 c156W
117. Mr. Hoy

asked the Minister of Works if he is aware of the shortage of supplies to the electrical contracting industry in Scotland; and what steps he is taking to meet its requirements.

Mr. Wilson:

The supply of electrical components and accessories is limited but is sufficient to meet the needs of priority work, and I am not aware of any particular shortage in Scotland as compared with other parts of the United Kingdom. My Department will investigate and take action in any specific cases where priority work is in danger of being held up due to shortage of these components.
