HC Deb 20 March 1946 vol 420 c365W
57. Mr. Monslow

asked the Minister of Food if the issue of cheap milk at schools can be delivered to children at their homes during the holiday period

Dr. Summcrskill

I regret that it has not been found possible to arrange the diversion of the milk from schools to the childrens' homes during the holiday period and to reverse the arrangements at the end of the holidays. This would involve very great difficulties and the use of considerable manpower urgently needed at present for other purposes.
