HC Deb 20 March 1946 vol 420 cc389-90W
134. Sir H. Webbe

asked the Minister of Supply and of Aircraft Production whether he can give any information on the several hundred tons of corrugated sheets lying in the open at the Grand Union Canal Company's store at Belgrave Gate, Leicester; what rental is being paid for them and why they are not released on a market which is depleted of this type of supply.

Mr. Leonard:

The corrugated sheets at this store are being collected there from numerous emergency stores to be catalogued and sorted into separate sizes and specifications as a preliminary to their speedy disposal. The rent which is being paid for the temporary storage is id. per ton per week.
