HC Deb 20 March 1946 vol 420 c390W
Mr. Callaghan

asked the Minister of Supply and of Aircraft Production the cost of the erection of the kilns at the K.L.G. factory, Treforest Trading Estate; and by whose authority are these kilns about to be demolished.

Mr. Woodburn

The cost of the four kilns at Treforest was £24,000. Two of them have been purchased by K.L.G. and will continue to be used for sparking plug production. The other two have been declared redundant by K.L.G. and, although temporarily in use for other purposes, will ultimately have to be removed as they are not required by B.O.A.C., who have leased a part of the factory from the Trading Estate and need the floor space occupied by them.
