HC Deb 20 March 1946 vol 420 cc386-7W
120. Dr. Little

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he can give an assurance that he has given orders for the cultivation of all arable land connected with the aerodromes in Northern Ireland for the production of food.

Mr. Strachey

The instructions we have issued for the cultivation of arable land at airfields not in flying use have included Northern Ireland. We are authorising the land to be ploughed up at the seven R.A.F. airfields which are available for this purpose in Northern Ireland.
