§ Mr. Laversasked the Minister of War Transport whether in view of the number of able-bodied unemployed, including discharged Servicemen, that are in the administrative County of Durham, he will give consideration to the commencement of roadworks schemes which have been prepared by the Durham County Council.
§ Mr. BarnesI have already taken steps to commence as soon as possible, certain urgently required road schemes in Durham and in the North-East Coast and will be happy to consider any proposals for the improvement of roads which the county council send me.
