§ Mr. Stokesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will give an assurance that non-German nationals, living in British-occupied Germany, who do not wish to return to their country of origin for political reasons will not be forced to do so and will be given asylum in Germany or other suitable territory of their choice willing to receive them.
Mr. J.HyndI have been asked to reply. The answer to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative, Asylum in Germany would be a matter for quadripartite decision. Asylum in other countries would be a matter for the Governments concerned.
