§ Commander Maitlandasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will now make a statement regarding the final disposal of the Italian fleet; and whether he will give any indication of the function it is performing at the present time.
§ Mr. W. EdwardsThe final disposal of the Italian Fleet is one of the subjects for the Peace Treaty with Italy, the terms of which have still to be settled. I am not therefore, in a position to make a statement. Meanwhile, the Italian Fleet is being employed to the best advantage in transport and other duties under the supervision of the Allied authorities.
