§ Mr. Shephardasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether U.N.R.R.A applies to liberated parts of Burma; and if so, what quantities of supplies have been distributed there by this organisation.
§ Mr. LawHis Majesty's Government have not applied to the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration for assistance for liberated Burma. The second part of the Question therefore does not arise. The distribution of relief supplies in the liberated parts of Burma has hitherto been and still is a purely military responsibility.
