HC Deb 21 March 1945 vol 409 cc835-6W
Captain Alan Graham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make representations to the Soviet Government to obtain the immediate release of those members of the Polish Christian Labour Party and National Democratic Party, whose names have been sent to him, and who were arrested by the N.K.V.D. on 8th March in Brwinow, near Warsaw, as well as the Red Cross delegate M. Lewandowski, arrested at Milanowek, near Warsaw, at about the same time; and whether he will inform the Soviet Government of the prejudicial effect upon Anglo-Russian relations of their policy of arrests and deportations of the friendly citizens of our ally, Poland.

Mr. Law

His Majesty's Ambassador at Moscow has been instructed to bring these reports to the notice of the Soviet Government and to ask them whether the facts are as stated.
