HC Deb 12 June 1945 vol 411 c1508W
Lady Apsley

asked the Secretary of State for War why a member of the A.T.S. who has served on the Continent for five months is debarred from receipt of the France and Germany Star if she has already qualified for the 1939–45 Star, whereas in the case of the Burma and Italy Stars they are awarded additionlly and irrespective of any such qualifications.

Sir J. Grigg

The general condition that six months' service in operations must have been rendered applies equally to the award of the France and German Star, the Burma Star and the Italy Star.
