§ Mr. Mathersasked the Minister of Works why it has been stipulated that bricks for county council houses at Winchburgh, West Lothian, must be supplied from Edinburgh when there are locally manufactured bricks available.
§ Mr. Manningham-BullerIt has not been possible to find any trace of such a stipulation being made. Apart from the express provisions of a contract, bricks may be purchase from any source within 35 miles of a building site. If the hon.902W Member can give me more information I will, of course, have the matter further investigated.
