§ Mr. D. Jonesasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air (1) whether he has investigated the complaint, particulars. of which have been submitted to him, that there is considerable over-establishment at certain R.A.F. stations in the Middle East; and if he will submit a statement showing the establishment at the station which has been mentioned to him at 1st June, 1945, and 1st November, 1945;
(2) whether he has investigated the evidence submitted to him, that there are attached to a squadron in the M.E.F., a total of 20 members of the photographic section for whom there is no work to do, and whose group number for release is only 26 in December; and whether he will take steps to expedite the release of these men by increasing the speed of release in this section or, alternatively, to bring all redundant personnel to this country and give them indefinite leave.
§ Mr. StracheyI received my hon. Friend's letter yesterday. It would be contrary to present policy to give the figures for our Forces in particular places overseas, but I can assure my hon. Friend that the redeployment of the Air Force is
