HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 cc360-1W
Dr. Little

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will make arrangements whereby Northern Ireland ex-Servicemen can attend vocational training courses in selected centres at home, as they wish to be with their families after long separation.

Mr. Isaacs

Centres for training in building trades are being set up by the Minister of Labour for Northern Ireland and ex-Servicemen who are eligible for training under the Vocational Training Scheme will, it is understood, be admitted to these centres early in 1946. In addition training arrangements are made where appropriate in technical colleges and with private employers.
