HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 c335W
Wing-Commander R. Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that when the 4th West Kents were repatriated from the Far East on 4th November, about 250 men, many of them in low release groups, were left behind, owing to lack of shipping space; and whether he will arrange for these men to return home as speedily as possible.

Mr. Lawson

The regiment as such has not returned and I cannot identify the particular occurrence, which may have related to individuals being repatriated on the completion of their overseas tour. I am, however, making inquiries.
