HC Deb 12 April 1945 vol 409 c1993W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Minister of Agriculture how many cases of contagious abortion in cattle have been reported recently in Denbighshire; and what action is taken in that area by his Department to prevent the spread of the infection and the resulting contracting of undulant fever by human beings.

Mr. Hudson

Outbreaks of contagious abortion in cattle are not notifiable or subject to administrative action under the Diseases of Animals Acts. Voluntary schemes are, however, in operation aiming at the wide adoption of measures of control of the disease.
