§ Flight-Lieutenant Raikesasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether the corrigendum slip issued in connection with the Emergency Powers (Defence) Road Vehicles and Drivers Order (S.R. & O. No. 1055 of 1943), was issued for the purpose of amending the Order or because the Order as published differed from the Order as signed?
§ Mr. Noel-BakerUnfortunately, when this Order was printed, my officers failed to detect an error of reference in the typewritten material which was sent to the printer. The corrigendum slip was issued in order to correct this error, and to bring the published Order into accord with the Order as it was signed.
§ Major Lyonsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport why it became necessary to attach a corrigendum slip to the Emergency Powers (Defence) Road Vehicles and Drivers Order (S.R. & O. No. 1055 of 1943), and when it was available to the public?
§ Mr. Noel-BakerI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for South-East Essex (Flight-Lieutenant Raikes).
