§ Colonel StanleyThe improvement of the machinery for the provision of statistics relating to the Colonies is already under consideration by the Colonial Research Committee as part of a general scheme for research in the social sciences, and I propose also to ask for the advice of my Economic Advisory Committee on economic statistics. I do not think that the time is yet ripe for the appointment of any special committee on this subject.
