asked the Home Secretary whether he will take steps to give powers to petty sessional courts to order the repatriation of any person from the Irish Free State who has been found guilty of a criminal offence?

No, Sir. This is a matter for the Home Secretary and the necessary powers are contained in Defence Regulation 18 (2A) and (2B). The police have the necessary instructions as to reporting any case which seems to call for their exercise.
