§ Mr. Hammersleyasked the Minister of Health whether he will give instructions to local authorities that when, in order to arrive at the appropriate public assistance award it is necessary to calculate the income arising from capital, the person affected should on application be supplied with a copy of the assessment showing the amount of capital deemed to be available and the calculated income assumed to arise from the capital?
§ Miss HorsbrughMy right hon. Friend has no doubt that most local authorities would supply this information on application and he does not think it necessary or desirable to give any special instructions in the matter.
