HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 c889W
Mr. Thorne

asked the Minister of Information when he made his statement in New York what information he had about the health of Herr Hess; and what protest he has received against his remarks from the Chief of the Boy Scout movement?

Mr. Bracken

The answer to the first part of the Question is "None, Sir." The answer to the second part is that the Chief Scout rightly disapproved of my remark. But, as I have already observed, it is a good deed to forget a poor joke.
