asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the fever group of the Society of Medical Officers of Health in its memorandum issued in August last stated that in doubtful cases of diphtheria the London County Council is prepared to issue instructions that diphtheria observation will be accepted

No, Sir, but I am afraid that this is not the only hospital suffering from a shortage of staff. I understand that my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service is doing all that is possible to assist in the filling of vacancies.
