HC Deb 10 June 1943 vol 390 c868W
Sir Smedley Crooke

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the number of complaints made by the public to members of price regulation committees with regard to the high prices being charged for ladies' hats; and will he consider the advisability of making an order limiting the selling price of all hats for women, making it an offence for these to be sold over a fixed ceiling price?

Mr. Dalton

I understand that this question is now under consideration by the Central Price Regulation Committee.
