§ Sir R. Gowerasked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that many firms in the country have in stock large supplies of catalogues and pamphlets which they are now unable to circulate to customers in consequence of the provisions of the Control of Paper Order, No. 48; and whether, in view of the fact that these catalogues will soon be out of date and valueless, he will arrange to 334W make exceptions in order to avoid the waste which is at present involved?
§ Sir A. DuncanThe gratuitous distribution of advertising circulars relating to the sale of goods has been prohibited since November, 1941. As an exception, circulars already printed before that date were allowed to be distributed until the end of October last. I do not think it would be reasonable or fair to other firms to extend this period further.
