HC Deb 10 February 1943 vol 386 c1328W
Mr. David Adams

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of complaints in Sierra Leone that the provision of food centres and the allocation of individual food supplies are inadequate and that preferential treatment is given in sales to Europeans as against Africans; and whether it has now been decided to introduce food rationing?

Colonel Stanley

As regards the general question of rationing, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to his Question on 20th January. I am not aware of any specific complaints regarding the provision of food or the preferential treatment of Europeans as against Africans in Sierra Leone.
