HC Deb 04 February 1943 vol 386 c1069W
Mr. Groves

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that for the past week or so fresh-water bream was being sold at 6s. 6d. per pound, pike at the same price and eels at 7s. 6d. per pound; and whether he will consider fixing a more reasonable price for these fish?

Mr. Mabane

I am aware that freshwater fish of the species mentioned have recently been sold at the prices named and the question of fixing maximum prices for these fish is at present under active consideration.
