§ Mr. J. Griffithsasked the Minister of Health whether he will, by White Paper or otherwise, indicate to what extent the Water Undertakings Bill as introduced into this House differs from the draft Bill approved by the Joint Committee in 1939?
§ Miss HorsbrughThe recommendation for amendment made by the Joint Select Committee were accepted in 1939 in another place where a number of further amendments were also made, for which I would refer my hon. Friend to the OFFICIAL REPORTS for 27th July, 1939, and 3rd August, 1939, before the Bill was sent to this House. The Bill as re-introduced in another place in 1943 included a number of drafting improvements, a list of which I attach, but was otherwise identical with the Bill as passed in that place in 1939. For the 1943 proceedings, in the course of which a small number of Amendments were made, most but not all 2473W of which were drafting Amendments, I would refer my hon. Friend to the House Of Lords OFFICIAL REPORTS for 29th June, 1943, and 6th July, 1943.
