§ Mr. Boothby
asked the Minister of Aircraft Production the number and the names of those officials in his Department who were employed in peace-time by Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, together with the appointments they hold; and whether any of these officials are at present in receipt of any remuneration from Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited?
§ Sir S. Cripps
I regret that complete information is not available, since it is not the practice of my Ministry to classify members of the staff by reference to their previous employment. Two senior officers serving in my Department are known, however, to have been in peacetime employment with Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd. Their names and the appointments they hold are—Mr. E. M. Fraser, the Director-General of Aircraft Production, and Mr. R. F. Fisher, a scientific officer. Mr. Fraser, who draws no salary from public funds, is in receipt of remuneration from Imperial Chemical Industries.
