HC Deb 04 August 1943 vol 391 c2324W
Mr. Boothby

asked the Minister of Agriculture the number and the names of those officials in his Department who were employed in peace-time by Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, together with the appointments they hold; and whether any of these officials are at present in receipt of any remuneration from Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited?

Mr. T. Williams

So far as I am aware, only one officer now serving in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries was employed in peace-time by Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited. This officer is Sir William Gavin, who is the Ministry's Chief Agricultural Adviser and Minister's Chief Liaison Officer. His services were made available to the Department by Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, on the outbreak of war, and I have no information as to his position with Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, in respect of remuneration.
