HC Deb 29 September 1942 vol 383 c693W
Captain Ramsay

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, as the Ministry of War Transport are now prepared to consider proposals submitted by the appropriate authorities concerning projects for the construction of road bridges over the Firths of Forth and Tay close to the existing railway bridges, he will take steps to see that the authorities concerned submit such proposals at an early date?

Mr. Johnston

The local authorities and other interests concerned are fully alive to the situation and when the circumstances warrant I have no doubt will take appropriate action.
