HC Deb 29 September 1942 vol 383 cc680-1W
Mr. Evelyn Walkden

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the petition representing several thousands of citizens and promoted by the Selby and District Trades and Labour Council, he will take steps to establish a British Restaurant in this area as a matter of urgency?

Mr. Mabane

I am aware of the petition referred to by my hon. Friend. The need for a British Restaurant in Selby has already been brought to the notice of the urban district council and further representations are being made to the council in the matter.
