HC Deb 11 September 1942 vol 383 cc536-7W
Mr. Craven-Ellis

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has considered a memorandum upon post-war planning in relation to the motor trade from the Motor Agents' Association; and whether he is giving favourable consideration to setting up the machinery recommended in that memorandum to enable individual industries and trades to formulate a planned economy?

Captain Waterhouse

This memorandum raises questions of far-reaching importance affecting not only the whole motor car industry but industry and trade generally. My right hon. Friend is considering these questions and will take into account the views of all concerned.
