HC Deb 10 September 1942 vol 383 c312W
Mr. W. Brown

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that Mrs. M. Mills, of Shotteswell, Banbury, Oxfordshire, the wife of a serving soldier, together with her children, is being evicted, as from 26th October, as her cottage is required for a farm labourer; that no other accommodation is available in the district and that efforts through the town council of Banbury to find accommodation there have proved ineffective; and whether he will take steps to see that if this eviction order is to be applied alternative accommodation should be found for the woman and her family.

Mr. E. Brown

I have no knowledge of the case mentioned by the hon. Member, but I am having inquiries made and will communicate with him as soon as possible.
