§ Mr. Noel-BakerLocal authorities are now carrying out a further review of traffic light signals at I junctions and68W others, in order to discontinue those which are no longer justified on traffic or safety grounds. The estimates so far received indicate that approximately 18 per cent. of the total number have been, or will be, altogether discontinued and that in addition, about 48 per cent. are being, or will be, worked for a reduced number of hours.
