HC Deb 21 October 1942 vol 383 cc1995-6W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for War whether the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes, having been granted a monopoly of the supply of most of the sports equipment for the Services, are in a position to execute promptly repairs to this equipment such as restitching the cases of footballs, restringing rackets and similar jobs?

Mr. A. Henderson

N.A.A.F.I. are willing and able to carry out repairs to the priority sports equipment they handle but units are not compelled to have their repairs carried out by N.A.A.F.I. They are free to go where they please to have this work done.
