asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that Form P. 119, issued under the Potato Crop (Control) Order, 1942, states that the reply must be posted not later than the 5th day of the month following that to which the return relates; and will he extend the time as some growers did not receive the form until the 8th of the month?

As the issue of these forms for September trading was unavoidably delayed owing to the late introduction of a subsidy to reduce retail prices on 28th September some grower-salesmen would not be able to comply with the requirement to return the form by 5th October. Forms returned after that date will be accepted.
