HC Deb 14 October 1942 vol 383 c1640W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will give an assurance that regulations for the sale or distribution of food shall be promulgated without first taking the advice of experts, of persons or organisations likely to be affected and of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries?

Mr. Mabane

No, Sir. I cannot give the assurance for which my hon. Friend asks, but I can assure him that my Noble Friend takes every practicable step to secure that all properly concerned are consulted before making orders or regulations of the kind referred to in this Question.
