HC Deb 14 October 1942 vol 383 c1641W
Mr. Kirkwood

asked the Minister of Production in view of the fact that his Department provide wooden huts to accommodate workers in factories erected for Government work whether he will give an immediate promise to provide wooden huts to the number of about 2,000, for the temporary accommodation of Clydebank workers engaged on vital national work who lost their homes in the 1941 air-raids and urgently need houses near to their work?

Mr. Lyttelton

As my hon. Friend knows from the answer which he was given yesterday by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, in reply to a similar Question, my right hon. Friend is in touch with me about this matter. Perhaps my hon. Friend will be good enough to await the results of the examination now in progress.
