HC Deb 07 October 1942 vol 383 cc1231-2W
Sir W. Jenkins

asked the Paymaster-General, how many meetings the Advisory Committee for Wales have held since their appointment: and what action has been taken to deal with new industries for postwar purposes?

Sir W. Jowitt

I am informed that the Advisory Council on Welsh Reconstruction Problems, the appointment of which was announced on 30th June last, has held one meeting at which a number of committees were appointed. These committees have held six meetings in all. One committee, which deals with industry, has met three times and is paying attention to the problem of new industries. No reports have yet been received from the Council.
